Towards NNLO QCD + NLO Electroweak Drell-Yan Predictions with GENEVA

Active

Developing and validating precision predictions for Drell-Yan lepton-pair production that combine NNLO QCD with NLO electroweak corrections in the GENEVA framework.

The GENEVA framework combines higher-order QCD resummation with parton-shower matching to provide fully differentiable, NNLO-accurate predictions matched to parton showers. This is collaborative research, carried out within the GENEVA collaboration, on extending Drell-Yan Z/γ* lepton-pair production to combine NNLO QCD with NLO electroweak corrections, including photon-induced subprocesses and initial- and final-state photon radiation off massive charged leptons.

Technical aspects of this work include POWHEG-style radiation mappings for the electroweak corrections, the choice of electroweak input scheme (e.g. the Gμ scheme), interfacing with matrix-element providers such as OpenLoops and RECOLA, and validating the resulting fixed-order and shower-matched predictions against existing NNLO QCD and NLO electroweak calculations.

This is ongoing, collaborative work; results will be linked here once published, and are not attributed solely to any one contributor.
